I just watched the movie Wolverine Saturday night with my brother and sister-in-law. I already knew it was going to be a good movie, and that I wouldn't regret watching it. It was really good, better than what I expected. I had watched the trailer several times before even watching the movie because it seemed really interesting. There are actually more really good movies coming out during the summer.
Before the movie "Wolverine" even came out, I heard that there had been an un-cut version that someone had uploaded into the internet. I heard a lot of people talking about watching it. They said you could see the strings and many of the digital effects that wasn't put in yet. I also heard that if they found out who did this, that this person was going to be in a lot of trouble. This version was also in high quality dvd.
I think that this was really bad for the makers of this movie because all this hard work they put into making the movie was leaked out and watched free by many viewers. I bet they could have made more money if this hadn't happened. Sometimes people should respect the hard work people went through and not ruin it for them. It was a great movie though. If you've seen it somewhere before, seeing it at the cinema is much better.

Weddings
Why do weddings always have to involve alcohol? In our traditional Hmong weddings it's mostly about the drinking that matters the most. The groom will be seated at a table next to his best-man. Then the in-laws will welcome him into the family with alcohol. He will have to drink usually one cup of beer and the in-law will drink one in return. The problem is, there is so many relatives in the brides-maids side, which means he will have to drink a lot, and sometimes they use big cups too, which I think is a little un-cool. The groom does have helpers, usually his best-man will drink for him, and other relatives that stand behind him that he can pass the drinks to them. The groom can't refuse any drinks though, he must drink most of what is given to him.
From what I think, I think they do this so that both sides of the family will become more familiar to each other, and see the crazy sides to each family, but I'm not sure, it's just what I think. I think this way is bad because the groom drinks way too much, more than he can take in. Sometimes he will even get liquour shots. I've heard somewhere that some have even died from intoxication during their wedding. Who would want to die on their wedding? I think that's just kind of crazy. The sister of one of my friends got married, and on their wedding day he had to call the ambulance because his sister's soon to be husband drank so much that he fainted and became really pale. They had to take him to the hospital and pump out all the alcohol. I think that the Hmong weddings should be changed in a way that doesn't involve alcohol, maybe to drink casually, but not forced. Drinking should be a choice at your wedding!

Cars
I think that sometimes people spend way too much money on their car to make it look nice, or give it power. It's their money and their hobby, but unless that person is really rich and has a lot of money to spare, then I guess it wouldn't be a problem. How about the people that don't have that much money, but still they soup up their cars. Aftermarket parts are actually pretty expensive for cars. For example, an aftermarket front bumper for a car would probably be around 200 dollars, plus the shipping which is 100-150 dollars. Then you have to paint the piece too, unless you like having mis-matched car parts. A professional paint job is expensive too.
Exterior parts are expensive, but so are the interior parts, under the hood. The most common parts would be the intake, and exhaust. Aftermarket intakes can range from 30 dollars to 300, depending on the brand and quality. I know a little about the prices because I like looking around ebay for car parts for my car, but I don't buy them because I think it's not worth it. I'd rather save the money just in case my car breaks down and I need to fix it. I also think that fixing up your car only encourages yourself and other people to race, which is dangerous. So it's better off to keep everything the way it is.

Video Games
We all know that video games are fun and all that, but seemslike sometimes we don't know when to stop. Sometimes I will play a game for a really long time and not be able to stop. I want tostop, but sometimes it makes you really mad when you keeplosing and you want to win just to make you happier. Whenthere's nothing to do I'll play War Craft III Frozen throne online, and I'll play for a very long time because it's hard to stop somehow. When you're soo close to winning and you lose,it's hard to stop playing. You must play again and WIN.
My oldest brother also likes playing games. He plays an online game called Final Fantasy XI. He likes to play it a lot. He can stay up all night and play it and not feel sleepy at all. Then he sleeps through the whole morning into the afternoon. I don't really care if he plays all the time, but he needs to spend more time with his kids. Seems like that's all he ever does, which is bad for his family and his health. So what I am saying is that we need to set a limit to how many hours we should spend on what we like. Sometimes we spend too much time on what matters less to us and spend more on things that don't matter that much.

Spring Break
Spring break is almost here, but what is there to do when it's here?
Seems like when you are busy there are a million things that you want
to do, but when you have all the time in the world to spare, you are
clueless on what you want to do. For example, on the weekdays there are
so many things that I want to do, but seems like there isn't enough
time to do all of it. On the weekends im clueless on what to do, and
that's when I have time to do what I want to do. Everyone's excited for
Spring break, but after the break is over, most of the people I talk to
will say their spring break sucked, and that they didn't do anything at
all. It wasn't what they expected it to be. It's almost like that thing
that we were talking about in English 101. How we all look forward and
are so excited for highschool graduation, but when we get there, we
have this feeling that it was not what we thought it was. "This is
it?.." but I guess "The journey is it's own reward." I guess if I apply
this to the spring break, it could work as well. Like how I approach
spring break and plan for it, is the reward? I don't know. I guess
spring break is already the reward itself. I guess what I am trying to
say is that, sometimes we don't see the reward when it's there.

Religion
There are probably hundreds or thousands of religions/beliefs out there, but which one is the real one, or the one that everyone must believe in. I think there is a really big issue with religion. As I grew up my parents worshipped our ancestors, which is called Shamanism, but just a couple years ago they converted to Christianity. They use to tell us so many bad things about Christianity, or believing in God, and now they want us to go to Church every Sunday with them. Now they tell us that we should believe in God when we are all adults now, when we've been following our traditional belief. Can you really just believe in something that you were told as a kid to go against? We use to sneak out when we were little to participate in Church Sunday Schools because they were fun, but when my parents found out we would get yelled at and told never to go again. I don't really care what anyone believes, but they should respect what others believe. We learn in kindergarten to treat others the way we would like to be treated, but we grow up just to do the opposite. People tell other people that their religion is wrong, and that they should do this and that...Why believe in anything if what you believe is not accepted by other people. I see a lot of arguing on forums, people making fun of other people's religion. I think they should just grow up and keep their rude comments to themselves. I guess if everyone just respected each other views then there would be no complications.

Cold Weather
It's been really cold these couple days, well these couple weeks. I think Winter is a really depressing season. Maybe it's because it seems so dead. We need the green summer leaves, and the green grass, laughter and outside activities. It's too cold outside that when I want to go somewhere, I tend to have second thoughts because I hate driving when it's cold. You have to go start the car and wait five to seven minutes to get the engine warmed up and the inside warm. The steering wheel is freezing cold too, and not only that but my car is a stick shift so then the stick is freezing too. I was thinking about getting some gloves but I keep forgetting to, and I really hate carrying them around because it looks funny when you stuff them in the pockets.
Getting the frost off the windows has been a real disaster. I only have a small hand scraper, so I can only get half the windshield, then i'll have to go to the other side. It's hard when there's so much snow piled on the curb side that I have a hard time trying to remove the snow on the other side. Maybe I have to invest in a better snow remover, the ones that can be twisted and pulled to become longer. I haven't checked my oil in a while too. It's too cold outside that I don't want to spend time outisde checking it. I should though because it's bad for the car if there's no oil in it, plus it's winter too. I just dislike the snow and cold weather. I have to wake up earlier and leave earlier because it might snow the night before and i'll have to remove all the snow and it'll take longer to get to class. It's the only time of the year that I drive below 25, that's if there is snow on the road. I like to go jogging at night, but since Winter is here, I have to go to North High School to use their treadmills, and they're only open at certain times, so I don't usually have the time to go. I think Winter just bring a lot more work into people's lives and the community. Maybe i'm just lazy, but i'm blaming it on Winter!
